Every Member Ministry
At New Covenant Church we embrace an “every member minster” mentality, based upon Ephesians 4:11-12 and the many “one another” passages in Scripture (e.g. Rom. 12:10; Gal. 5:13, 6:2; Eph. 5;21; 1 Pet. 4:9). When each member of the church serves with his or her God-given gifts, we grow up in love as the body of Christ (Eph. 4:15-16).
To lead and care for his church, Jesus Christ, the head of the church, instituted two perpetual offices: elder and deacon (Acts 6:1-7; 1 Tim. 3:1-13; Titus 1:5-9). Within the class of elder are two orders of teaching elders and ruling elders (1 Tim. 5:17).
Elders
The elders together provide spiritual government and oversight of the church, including teaching. The Session consists of the senior pastor, associate pastor, and ruling elders, and they meet typically on the second Sunday of each month. Our teaching elders (TE) are seminary trained and ordained by our presbytery as Ministers of Word and Sacrament. Our ruling elders (RE) are qualified men elected from within our congregation and ordained by the Session.

Deacons
The office of deacon is one of sympathy and service, after the example of the Lord Jesus. Our deacons care for our members in various spiritual and physical needs, oversee the maintenance of our facilities, and lead our congregation in ministries of mercy and service.

The elders and deacons count it a privilege to lead and care for our church. Please let us know how we can serve or pray for you at officers@ncchurch.net.
The doctrine and government of New Covenant Church, which is subject to and subordinate to the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, the inerrant Word of God, consists of the doctrinal standards set forth in the Westminster Confession of Faith, together with the Larger and Shorter Catechisms, and the Book of Church Order of the Presbyterian Church in America.
